Editorial Guidelines

A Most Likely To question is only a few words long, but it can make a room laugh — or make someone feel singled out. These guidelines explain how the MostLikelyTo.fun editorial team writes, reviews and maintains the 670 questions on the site, so players, parents and teachers know what to expect.

What Makes a Good Question

• Specific: you should be able to picture it happening. "Show up to the wrong airport" beats "be disorganised".
• Winnable by more than one person: a good question starts a debate. If only one person in any group could possibly win it, it is a label, not a question.
• Kind at heart: the person who wins should be able to laugh along. We tease habits and quirks, not identities.
• Right for its audience: every question is written for one of our categories and the people who play it.

How Questions Are Written and Reviewed

Our editorial team writes and curates the question library. We use AI tools to help brainstorm and produce first drafts, because they are good at generating lots of ideas quickly. No question is published on the strength of a draft alone: every question is read, edited and approved by a person against the standards on this page, and we remove duplicates and near-duplicates across the whole library before publishing.

After publication we keep reviewing. Questions that players report as confusing, unfair or in the wrong category are revised, moved or removed.

Age Tiers

Kids (ages 6–12)

Simple words and happy topics: animals, snacks, superpowers, school and silly situations. No romance, no scary topics, nothing that could hurt a child's feelings. The Kids page shows no ads.

Teens (13+)

School, friendships, social media, crushes and the future. No sexual content, no alcohol or drugs, and nothing that encourages risky behaviour.

General (Friends, Funny, Family, Couples, Party, Work, Christmas)

Written for mixed groups of teens and adults. Family and Work questions are clean enough for any audience; Party and Couples questions can be cheekier but are never explicit.

18+ Spicy

Flirty, bold questions about dating and nights out, for adults only. They are revealing but never sexually explicit. The game asks players to confirm they are 18 or older before these questions are included, and the 18+ page shows no ads.

Safety Standards

Across every category, we do not publish questions that:

• target appearance, weight, health, disability, money, race, religion, gender or sexuality;
• encourage dangerous, illegal or harmful behaviour;
• reference self-harm, abuse or other traumatic topics;
• pressure anyone to share something they would not want to.

We also recommend one house rule for every game: anyone can pass on any question, no explanation needed.

Articles and Guides

Our articles are written and reviewed by the same editorial team. They are based on how the game is actually played, are updated when information changes, and show the date they were published.

Corrections and Feedback

If you think a question is in the wrong category, unclear, or should not be on the site at all, email contact@mostlikelyto.fun with the question text and the page you found it on. We review every report and update the library when a concern is valid.
